PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a respected leader in the aviation industry to hire a detail-oriented Inspector for an exciting opportunity in Kinston, NC . In this position, you will inspect components, assemblies, and systems to verify conformance to engineering specifications and quality standards—helping ensure safe, reliable products reach the skies.
What You’ll DoAs an Inspector, you will support manufacturing excellence by:
Performing visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and completed products, assemblies, and subassemblies
Inspecting mechanical, electro-mechanical, and structural components for flaws, defects, missing welds, and nonconformance
Using measuring tools such as micrometers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and fixtures
Reviewing blueprints, re-drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions
Accepting or rejecting defective or malfunctioning parts based on predetermined standards
Conducting First Article Inspections and documenting results accurately
Initiating and recording non-conforming material reports for parts, tools, hardware, software, or assemblies
Inspecting vendor, subcontractor, and internal company parts and assemblies
Monitoring quality through statistical process control or other quality systems as required
Performing line clearances after each lot to ensure materials from prior runs are removed
Preparing and maintaining accurate quality records and documentation
Supporting product flow by cross-training and assisting in related manufacturing functions when needed
Completing additional assigned duties with training provided as required
Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
Experience reviewing revised drawings and engineering changes
Knowledge of First Article Inspection processes
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to document findings clearly and accurately
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to cross-train
Aerospace or manufacturing inspection experience
Familiarity with CATIA or similar design/engineering systems
Experience with quality systems and statistical process control methods
Background inspecting structural assemblies or precision components
Knowledge of non-conformance reporting procedures

Pay Details: $44.77 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
