Position Summary

Kasem Dental is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant with a strong clinical background and interest in oral surgery. This role is a blend of general chairside assistance and surgical support, with a clear path toward specializing in oral surgery over time.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance for general and oral surgery appointments (~50/50 split)
• Surgical support: extractions, implants, and complex surgical cases
• Delivery appointments and in-house case fabrication follow-ups
• Room set-up and breakdown; instrument sterilization
• Clinical note documentation and lab script preparation
• Maintenance checklist completion
• Rotate across doctors and procedure types as needed

6-Month Milestones

• Proficient in general chairside assistance across all standard appointment types
• Trained on and comfortable with surgical procedures: extractions, implants, complex cases
• Eligible for pay review and potential advancement to lead surgical assistant role

Qualifications

Required:

• Background in a medical or healthcare field
• Clinical/dental industry experience is the most important qualification

Preferred (not required):

• Prior dental assisting experience (office will train candidates from scratch for the right fit)
• EFDA certification for X-rays — helpful but not required
• Interest in or exposure to oral surgery

Compensation & Benefits

• $16 – $22/hr based on experience
• No experience: $16/hr | Production experience (crowns, chairside): $21/hr
• PTO: 1 week paid after 90 days; 2 weeks after 1 year
• Paid company-observed holidays
• Dental work through the office (subject to approval)
