Electrician Apprentice

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Repair: Help install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors and control panels for Industrial Woodworking Machinery often working with high-voltage equipment.
• Conduit & Wiring: Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit, and pull wires through openings.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and correcting malfunctions in electrical equipment.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to strict safety procedures, codes (like NEC), and regulations.
• Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain tools and keep parts and supplies organized.
• Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Site Support: Perform general labor, clean work areas, and assist with material handling.
• Learning & Training: Receive instruction and training from Plant Electrician and Assembly Floor Supervisor.

Typical Work Environment

• Factories, plants, and industrial facilities.
• Both indoor and outdoor settings, in extreme hot or cold weather.
• May involve physical tasks like digging trenches or working in confined spaces.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
• Physical stamina for standing, climbing, and lifting.
• Commitment to learning electrical codes and safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
