Your Key Responsibilities - Conduct in-depth patient evaluations, order necessary diagnostic tests, and design tailored care plans
- Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses, collaborating with physicians or working independently based on your credentials
- Provide patient and family education on preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management
- Prescribe medications and therapies aligned with your practice scope
- Engage in patient follow-up and management of chronic care needs
- Team up with interdisciplinary members to ensure comprehensive, cohesive patient care
- Accurately document patient interactions and care details in electronic medical records (EMR)
Qualifications Needed - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Certifications You Must Hold - Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in New Mexico
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to acquire them within 90 days)
