Job Description

GIK Acoustics

Manufacturing Supervisor

About Us

GIK Acoustics is a leading manufacturer of made-to-order acoustic treatment products trusted by professional recording studios, home theater enthusiasts, content creators, offices, and houses of worship worldwide. In the U.S., we manufacture our products in Atlanta and ship directly to customers across the country.

The Opportunity

GIK is at a growth inflection point, and we need a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our factory floor. We are looking for someone to play a key role in process improvement, product enhancements, and new product development, working cross-functionally to bring new concepts into production.

Due to strong growth, we are currently facing a significant backlog and need a floor leader who can audit our production processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and implement systems to guarantee on-time shipments and increase capacity to accommodate incremental growth. If you are a problem-solver with a knack for process improvements, this is the role for you.

Reporting

This position reports directly to the CEO, works closely with the CFO and Chief Product Officer, and will be shaping our future. As a global business, the Manufacturing Supervisor will also interface with our production leaders in the U.K. and Poland. You will directly manage a team in Atlanta of 20-25 FTEs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all factory floor employees across departments (product preparation, wrapping, and shipping) to meet daily output targets and quality standards
  • Create a great work culture to drive employee retention
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations across CNC, Framing, Sewing, Wrapping, and Shipping departments
  • Develop and execute plans to improve production throughput, reduce waste, and optimize labor efficiency; document all SOPs and training materials
  • Manage production schedules to meet daily output targets and customer delivery expectations
  • Maintain and optimize equipment, scheduling preventative maintenance to ensure high uptime
  • Monitor quality metrics, minimize returns and customer complaints, and drive a culture of continuous improvement
  • Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, accountability, and teamwork
  • Identify and resolve any operational challenges
  • Support new product development by fabricating and testing new designs from leadership and sales teams
  • Evaluate new materials to improve product quality and/or manufacturing efficiency without compromising standards
  • Maintain and enforce 5S and overall workplace organization
  • Collaborate with Customer Service to resolve customer issues and drive corrective actions
  • Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to track production schedules, KPIs, inventory, and reporting
  • Take ownership of monthly inventory and cycle count processes

What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Consistent achievement of daily production targets
  • Improved throughput and reduced bottlenecks across departments
  • Strong team engagement and accountability on the production floor
  • High-quality output with minimal rework or defects
  • Measurable improvements in efficiency, organization (5S), and process flow

First 90-Day Goals

  • Audit the current CNC-to-framing cycle times and eliminate material staging delays
  • Increase weekly shop throughput by 25% through productivity improvements
  • Reduce order lead times to 10 days

Key Qualifications

  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
  • Experience with production scheduling and workflow optimization
  • Working knowledge of CNC operations (preferred)
  • Familiarity with framing, sewing, wrapping, and/or shipping processes (preferred)
  • Experience supporting product development and process improvements (preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard business software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, made-to-order production environment

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary between $95,0000 and $105,000, commensurate with experience
  • Year-end bonus opportunity based on individual performance and Company performance
  • Competitive benefits including 401K, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 15 days paid time off
