Modesto, CA – Seeking Entry-Level Scribe As part of our Medical Scribe program, you play a vital role in supporting physicians and health care providers while gaining first‑hand knowledge and practical experience in the field. Vituity has opportunities at 890 practices across the country, serving 14.5 million patients a year. As part of the Vituity Scribe Program, there are multiple opportunities to fit your needs, including gaining experience in units such as the Emergency Department, Intensivist Care, Telemetry, and Medical‑Surgical. The Opportunity Firsthand exposure to a clinical setting for undergraduates or post‑baccalaureate students pursuing a career in healthcare. Great opportunity for students taking time off before Medical, PA or NP school. Scribe hours are counted towards clinical training for most PA and medical school programs. Required Experience and Competencies Responsible and mature demeanor with a passion for medicine. Strong writing skills. Quick and accurate typing speed. Experience with medical terminology, human anatomy and human physiology is preferred. Each scribe works 2‑3 shifts per week (including weekends and a holiday). Ability to stand, walk and follow a physician for extended periods of time. Ability to work in a stressful and fast‑paced environment. 1 year commitment at this site, continuous one year, not a summer position. Excellent follow‑through. Self‑motivated. The Practice Doctors Medical Center – Modesto, California Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, and Stroke Center. 456‑bed medical center with a 29‑bed Emergency Department. Patient mix is extremely diverse with varying acuity. ED x-ray, state‑of‑the‑art ultrasound machine, and in‑house RT, ED techs, etc. Annual volume of 8,000 for the ED. Most sub‑specialty backup available. Vituity scribe support available. Top 5 cardiology sites in California with 24‑hour catheterization lab.
